A Familiar Story

You’re Not Stuck. Your Brain Just Needs a New Strategy

Motivation is a mythical temptress. She's always alluring, rarely reliable.

The story goes...

You lose weight, gain it back.
You start a new hobby, only to stop a few weeks later.
You start a new meal plan, feel better, and then somehow “fall back” into old habits.

You keep searching for motivation, but nothing seems to stick.

So why do we start things, feel the positive effects, and still quit?

I used to ask myself the same thing. I was always chasing motivation. Reading books, listening to podcasts, Googling “how to get more motivated.” And then I came across a quote:

“You will never always be motivated. You have to learn to be disciplined.”

That hit me hard. And, honestly, it pissed me off. But I stopped chasing motivation and gave myself a new mantra: Do it anyway.

That worked… for a while. Until I hit a wall of frustration.

The negative voices crept in:
"I’m not the kind of person who can stick to things."
"Maybe I just don’t have it in me."
"I always quit, I can't do this."

The more I started and stopped, the more I reinforced the identity of someone who couldn’t follow through. It became a cycle of self-doubt and unintentional self-sabotage.

So I did what I do best, I researched.

I read everything I could. I studied neuroscience, psychology, and behavior change. And I finally figured it out:

You don’t need more motivation. You need an Identity Update + Action

✨ You have to confront the parts of you that believe you can’t do it.
✨ You have to rewrite your narrative and the beliefs about who you are.
✨ You have to know the deep, sometimes uncomfortable why behind what you want.
✨ You have to create a plan - because discipline isn’t the opposite of freedom; it’s the path to it.

I know this because I’ve lived it.

I went from a gifted high achiever to a high school dropout working in fast food.
I clawed my way through college and got my bachelor's degree, only to be stuck making $13 an hour.
I pushed forward, got my master’s degree, and I was capped at $26 an hour.

I had doubled my income, but it still wasn’t enough. I wanted more.

Every time I reached for it, old beliefs crept in:
"I don’t deserve this."
"I just want to help people, I shouldn’t make money from that."
"Maybe I’m not meant for more."

I rewired my thinking, built systems that actually worked for me, and quadrupled my income. And no, I'm not a millionaire. I hope to be someday. But within the realm of what has been realistic thus far, I have continued doubling up. Now, I’m building toward the next level. I am starting to think outside the box too. You cannot out work a negative self-image. It has to change with us. This goes for career, relationships, weight loss, and others goals you want to achieve,

It takes work, though. There’s no magic pill, no limited-time offer online course that’s $997 today but somehow jumps to $6,500 tomorrow. Change isn’t about gimmicks. It’s about doing the work.

I want to help you break the cycle of starting, gaining momentum, losing interest, and quitting. Because this isn’t about willpower alone, it’s about rewiring the way you see yourself and building the systems to back it up.

Let’s do this together.

A little more about me…

💪 I am no longer a personal trainer, but that doesn’t mean I won’t expect you to move your body. Exercise is non-negotiable for a healthy brain—sorry, I don’t make the rules.

🧠 I nerd out on neuroscience. You don’t have to know the details, but if you’re curious, I’ll gladly tell you.

🐶 Every time I go for a walk, my goal is to meet a dog. Sometimes I have to remind myself to acknowledge the owner, too.

🏔 I’m a flatlander at heart, but mountains feel like home. If I get a chance to travel, I take it.

🤬 I might cuss sometimes. My parents tried to teach me not to, but my work in addictions turned me into a fiery little thing. I’m not R-rated, but let’s just say I’m more PG-13 than PG.

📣 I will be your biggest cheerleader, but I will also call you out if you’re full of it. Growth requires honesty.

☕ I drink too much coffee. It’s a personality trait at this point.

😌 Some days I feel down too, but I will never bring that energy into our work together. If you’re feeling down, though, I can handle that and help you through it.

👩‍🏫 I’ve spent over a decade in mental health and addiction, plus years in fitness, nutrition, and coaching. I’ve led workshops for tech companies, hospitals, and schools on stress, mindfulness, and health.

🔥 This is my passion, my knowledge, my baby—my Ikigai. I want you to master your mind, your emotions, and your health. Because once you do, everything changes.
